SERP Snippet Preview
See how your page looks in Google before you publish. Titles and descriptions are measured in pixels, not characters, so this shows the real limit and warns you before Google cuts you off.
Why pixels, not characters
Google truncates titles and meta descriptions by pixel width, not character count, because a line of Ws is far wider than a line of iiis. This tool measures the actual rendered width, so a title that fits here fits in the results.
What good looks like
Keep titles under about 580px (roughly 55-60 characters) and descriptions under about 920px (roughly 150-160 characters). Put the keyword near the front, make a promise, and write for a human, not a robot. A clear, honest snippet earns clicks even from lower positions.
Axo maps who outranks you, finds the keywords you can win, and writes the articles that get you there. 30 days free, no card.
